Preventive and Predictive Maintenance Training

Learn how to perform effective preventive and predictive maintenance on equipment to prevent machine failures.

Know More
Duration: 2 Days

Preventive maintenance is a schedule of planned maintenance actions aimed at the prevention of breakdowns and failures. The goal of preventive maintenance is to prevent the failure of equipment before it actually occurs. It is designed to preserve and enhance equipment reliability by replacing worn components before they actually fail — activities include equipment checks, service overhaul at specified periods, oil changes and lubrication.

Predictive maintenance is the measurement of equipment, under operating conditions, to detect symptoms that are "out of line" with physical parameters and classify the causes. Predictive inspections are performed while equipment is operating, thereby minimizing disruption of normal system operations. Adoption of predictive maintenance can result in substantial cost savings and higher system reliability.

This training is designed to teach participants how to perform effective preventive and predictive maintenance on equipment to prevent machine failures.

Course Objectives

  • Apply preventive maintenance on equipment to prevent failures.
  • Do proper checking on machinery components.
  • Develop effective lubrication program to increase machine reliability.
  • Know the correct method of replacing defective components.
  • Understand the link between preventive & predictive maintenance.
  • Learn various preventive & predictive maintenance tools and applications.
  • Develop an effective PM & PDM program.
  • Explain and display visual controls of PM & PDM related data.
