LOCKOUT TAGOUT (LOTO) SAFETY TRAINING

Designed to train employees on proper LOTO application to eliminate risks from mechanical, electrical, and stored energy sources.

DURATION: 1 Day

LOTO is a safety practice of locking a particular mechanical or electrical equipment that can cause damage to the employees on activation. The lockout device is a lock used to keep the equipment in a safe position and prevent it from an unexpected startup. The lockout and tag out system is applied in organizations to isolated equipment’s which consist of potential energy before start of any maintenance works.

Lockout tag out procedures consist of applying the lockout tag out devices as well as removing them. Prior to shutting down the machine, the concerned person should have the knowledge on type of energy supplied to the machine, the hazards resulting from the energy released and the actions to be taken in order to control the energy.

This training is designed to provide an understanding of LOTO and how it can support to enhance safety by eliminating the potential risk found in equipment’s.
