Forklift Safety Certification Training is critical for anyone operating a forklift truck or in other word material handling equipments (MHE). Forklift Truck is a powerful machine is designed to handle heavy, costly, and potentially dangerous goods. Unfortunately, accidents involving Forklift Truck often occur due to handlers neglecting safety regulations, failing to follow safe working procedures, and lacking sufficient mental preparation.

This Forklift Safety Certification Training is designed carefully with initiative to increase the awareness of MHE handlers on aspects pertaining to personal safety, surrounding people and the properties while operating the vehicle. This module will also indirectly increase the skill, competency and mental preparation of the MHE handlers.

Lastly the good record and skill of a trained MHE handler will be most valuable to the company and his future.

Scope

The program provides a general understanding on safe operation, laws, guidelines and the appropriate MHE management system.

Objectives

Successful completion of the program will enhance the skills of participants and enable them to:

1. Identify cause and effect of accident and sensitiveness about safety.

2. Identify character and the functions of truck components.

3. To carry out daily inspection, safety, performance and preventive maintenance to reduce repair cost.

4. To train MHE handlers become more cautious, safe and efficient.

At end of this program participants will be more responsive on the safe operating procedures to ensure his safety, people surrounding, and properties are safe guarded. It will also enable them to identify and avoid risk by operating equipment’s safely and be free from accidents. 

Training Methodology

The program consists of classroom lectures, group discussion workshop, MHE Safety video screening, Applied practical instruction (Hands on), Evaluation (Written and Practical assessment).

  • An open area about 20~40 square meters.
  • Forklift 2 unit.(preferably ic engine truck either diesel/gas)
  • 200 lit. Empty drums 10 units
  • Wooden or plastic skid pallets- 25 pieces.
  • High box pallet 3 units- 4feet x 4feet

Safety apperals

All participants attending this program need to be properly attired. Participants should be equipped with appropriate safety protectors.

Yes, two companies can collaborate to organize a joint training session under HRD Corp’s Skim Latihan Bersama. Here’s how it works:

  1. Organizing the Session:
    • Both companies can arrange the training together, selecting a training provider and coordinating logistics.
    • Each company must ensure that the training provider is HRD Corp registered and that the course is claimable under HRD Corp.
  2. Cost Splitting:
    • The training cost can be split based on the number of participants from each company or through any agreed proportion.
    • For example, if Company A has 10 participants and Company B has 5, Company A may cover two-thirds of the cost, and Company B covers one-third.
  3. HRD Corp Grant Application:
    • Each company needs to submit its own grant application to HRD Corp for its share of the training costs.
    • In the application, each company should indicate that the training is conducted under the Skim Latihan Bersama.
    • Both companies must meet HRD Corp’s requirements for eligibility and submit the necessary documents for claim approval.

 

This setup allows companies to share training costs while ensuring that each company’s employees receive HRD Corp funding.

Participants should be at least 18 years old, medically fit, and possess basic reading and comprehension skills.

Each session can accommodate up to 15 participants to maintain efficiency and ensure sufficient time for practical activities.

Topics include forklift operations, load handling, inspection and maintenance, hazard awareness, and emergency response.

You can expect to receive the certificate and identification card within 2 weeks from the training date, provided that the participant details are submitted on time or filled out completely via our QR scanning process.

OSHA recommends retraining every 2-3 years or whenever the operator shows unsafe practices, is involved in an accident, or if there are changes in workplace conditions or equipment.

Yes, upon successful completion, participants receive certificate of attendance. Apart from certificate of attendance, qualified participants will receive Driver’s Identification Card valif for a specific period stipulated by Eversafe Universal Sdn Bhd.

The Identification Card issued by Eversafe Universal is intended for internal use only. It allows forklift operators to operate within the premises but does not permit operation on JKR/public roads. A valid JPJ license is required for any forklift operation outside the premises.
